Spiders crawl
upon my legs
Splayed, they freeze
reminding me of the coming cold
When bugs and worms will freely roam,
whisper in my silent ears
and fail to wake me,
eat me.

This caught my eye; it’s simple yet powerful.
Ps: I think you look beautiful:-)
Thanks.
You see a memento mori where others see only a cosmetic flaw. You amaze me.
I like how you put that. Thank you for reading. This was one of my earliest posts, so not too many people wander around in these parts.
It did seem a bit like snooping in someone’s cupboard when you’ve been invited for tea….is that element of voyeurism why we enjoy reading others’ blogs?
Actually I’m happy that you poked around a bit. These early posts tend to languish. They’re almost six months old, which in Internet years is around 100.
As long as the blood is still pushing through the outlying areas, not much point in thinking about then when thinking will be beyond you. Still, I adore your writing.
The longer the past gets, the shorter the way ahead seems. 🙂 I’m glad you like what I write.
